The HGSA soccer team “We’re History” ended its impressive play-off run with a not so impressive 8(?)-2 loss against the entomology department earlier this week. Still, the squad demonstrated incredible spirit and tenacity. Great work “We’re History!”
The next HGSA meeting has been announced. It will be held on Monday, Oct. 19th at 4:00 pm in the 3rd floor lounge.

Victory!

We’re History, the HGSA soccer team, followed a lackluster regular season campaign with a spirited 1-0 win in the first round of the playoffs. We’re History dominated the second half of play to ensure passage to round 2 of the Grad Student League playoffs.
More important than the win (although it was huge), 12 people showed up to play! Although this created some frustration due to a lack of equal playing time, it was great to see such a strong demonstration of departmental community.

Election results are in. Congratulations to Reid Gustafson, the first HGSA Student Interest Liaison.
“Preparing the prospectus,” “grant writing,” and “how to get published” were the three most popular workshop choices. More information on these session is forthcoming.
